Meditation

Okay so I am not even going to pretend to be an expert at meditation (no one is really, its only a practice) but I have been meditating every day for almost a year now & I most definitely want to share with you my favorite app for guided meditation.


Meditation has become one of my daily rituals & has helped me stay calm & centered in times when I have no control over anything except my emotions. Learning to feel, control & center your emotions (and continuing to learn this) has helped me grow as a person in all areas of my life.


I love doing the guided sleep meditations as I feel it relaxes my body & mind. Who doesn't want to have a more restful sleep? I recommend David Ji as a guide. I find his voice so soothing. That must be why his nick name is the "The Velvet Voice of Stillness".




After doing meditation for awhile I started searching out stones & jewelry to remind me to come back to center while wearing them. I came across "MALA Beads" Malas are a string of beads (108) used in meditation as a tool to count mantras. I also wear them from time to time on my wrist or as a necklace.


The mala shown below are made of Apatite. The stone is known for its positive use of personal power to achieve goals. It clears away confusion, apathy or negativity, then, stimulates the intellect to expand knowledge and truth, which may be used for personal growth or for the collective good.
