morphe x jaclyn hill
Jaclyn Hill & Morphe Brushes collaborated creating The Jaclyn Hill Eyeshadow Palette. The palette consist of Jaclyn's 35 dream colors. It was highly anticipated, two years in the making & finally launched on 6.21.17, retailing for $38.00.
When Jaclyn Hill does a collaboration I am always very excited to get my hands on the product ! This collab was no exception! I of course had already set a timer for when the palette would go live on Morphe's website because I wanted to be sure to get mine!! The palette sold out the first day, within hours of the launch. I was able to get two palettes, one for personal use & one for Raes' clients! I'm a huge fan of Jaclyn! (obviously) :)
PACKAGING
The palette comes in cardboard packaging that has a white pearly look to it. The lettering on the packaging is actually a silver, but looks rose gold in this picture because of the glitter backdrop. The back of the packaging is pictured below. There are four pictures of Jaclyn & a short letter from her telling her fans about the process of creating the eyeshadows & her experience ! I don't love a cardboard palette, for personal use it is fine, but I'm not sure how well it will hold up while freelancing.

With each palette there is a product card that includes pictures of the shadows on the back & their names. I only received one of these cards for both palettes. For personal use I don't find it as important to know the names I am using but when I am using it on clients it will be helpful to have the card to write down names for trials. The product card with names is downloadable in PDF format on Morphe's website if you happen to misplace it!

SWATCH | VIDEO
I swatched the first row of eyeshadows so you could see how they apply. The consistency is very creamy and went on smoothly. I honestly could not believe how creamy these shadows feel. The shadows also blend to perfection on my eyes! Any of the shimmer shadows apply easier when I use my finger or a wet brush. Applying the shimmery shadow that way really helps the pigment lay down easier. The color range in this palette is AMAZING as well. I truly think I could use this palette on SO many different skin tones & I would love the results on each person!
